Village Board Meeting Minutes of March 16, 2017 Present: Mayor Lee, Trustees, Burritt, Speer, Zabelny Village Manager/Clerk, Shari Pearce Village Treasurer , Maryalice Edwards DPW Superintendent , Mike McHenry DPW Asst. Superintendent , Keith Brown Code Enforcement Officer, Mike Lissow Absent: Trustee Gates Guests: Jim Liese, Russ Zurich The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Mayor Lee with the pledge of allegiance to the flag, followed by a moment of silence. Proposed Budget 2017-2018 Shari Pearce gave opening remarks about the budget and the strategies the team used to estimate revenue and expenses. Maryalice Edwards provided a Power Point presentation which covered the expenses and revenues of each fund. Shari Pearce spoke on the costs of the Community Center and the Village Office. She is seeking general office expenses. Mike McHenry covered the DPW expenses; he is seeking $200,000 in equipment costs. The board will consider the recommendations made. The next budget meeting is scheduled for March 23rd at 6 p.m. The board discussed wage increases and will have a decision at the next meeting. Adjournment There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m. Motion made by Trustee Speer, seconded by Trustee Zabelny. Carried unanimously 5-0.
