OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
JULY 26, 2016- 8:00 P.M
MINUTES
Mayor Randall called the combined meeting to order at 8:00 PM. The open meeting statement was read.
The regular meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus is now in session. In accord with the provisions
of Section 5 of the "Open Public Meetings Act", I wish to advise that notice of this meeting has been posted in the front lobby
entrance to the Council Chambers of the Borough Hall and that a copy of the schedule of this meeting has also been filed
with the Borough Clerk, and further that the required 48 hour notices have been sent to The Record and the
Ridgewood News - newspapers with general circulation throughout the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus
Roll Call: Members present were: Mayor Randall, Councilmembers Troast Rorty, Shea, Iannelli and Fiato.
Absent: Councilmember Shell and borough administrator William Jones
Also present were borough attorney David Bole
Mayor Randall led all in the pledge of Allegiance and had a moment of silence for all the fallen Police Officers.
Mayor Randall also commented on the working house fire and thanked all personnel that were involved with
helping put out the fire.

CONSENT RESOLUTION
16-84 Co-Operative Pricing Agreement- Cranford
WHEREAS, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5) authorizes contracting units to establish a Cooperative Pricing System and to
enter into Cooperative Pricing Agreements for its administration; and
WHEREAS, the Cranford Police Cooperative Pricing System (ID # 47-CPCPS), hereinafter referred to as the "Lead
Agency” has offered voluntary participation in a Cooperative Pricing System for the purchase of goods and services;
WHEREAS, on July 26, 2016 the governing body of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus, County of Bergen , State of New
Jersey duly considered participation in a Cooperative Pricing System for the provision and performance of goods and
services;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
TITLE
This RESOLUTION shall be known and may be cited as the Cooperative Pricing
Resolution of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus
AUTHORITY
Pursuant to the provisions of N. J.S.A. 40A:11-11(5), the Governing Body of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus is hereby
authorized to enter into a Cooperative Pricing Agreement with the Lead Agency.
CONTRACTING UNIT
The Lead Agency shall be responsible for complying with the provisions of the,. Local Public Contracts Law (N.J.S.A.
40A:11-1 et seq.) and all other provisions of the revised statutes of the State of New Jersey.
EFFECTIVE DATE
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
16-85 Bus Stop on Municipal Roads
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus, County of Bergen and State of New Jersey.
That pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39-4-8(e) the following described locations are designated as bus stops:
HO-HO-KUS COUNTY ROADS
1. Along Franklin Turnpike (CR 507), northbound on the easterly side
thereof at:
a. Elmwood Avenue — (near side)
Beginning at the southerly curbline of Elmwood Avenue and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom (location 12372).
b. Hollywood Avenue — (near side)
Beginning at the southerly curbline of Hollywood Avenue and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom (location
12373).
c. Stone Ridge Lane — (near side)(prolongation)
Beginning at the prolongation of the southerly curbline of Stone Ridge Lane and extending 105 feet southerly
therefrom (location 12374).
2. Along Franklin Turnpike (CR 507), southbound on the westerly side
thereof at:
a. Stone Ridge Lane — (near side)
Beginning at the northerly curbline of Stone Ridge Lane and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom (location 12375).
Hollywood Avenue — (near side)
Beginning at the northerly curbline of Hollywood Avenue and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom (location
12376).
c. Maple Avenue and Warren Avenue — (mid-block)
Beginning 238 feet north of the northerly curbline of Maple Avenue and extending 135 feet northerly therefrom
(location 12377).
16-86 Forgiveness of Solid Waste Bills
Whereas, 8 Brookview Court, 1010 WSRR, 40 Deerhill Drive and 57 Jacqueline Ave in Ho-Ho-Kus is an empty lot
because the residential structures have been eliminated, and
Whereas, all resident structures will be credited for 3 months and then to be reviewed for the balance
Therefore, be it resolved, that the bill in question be cancelled
16-87 Payment of Vouchers
WHEREAS, claims have been submitted to the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus in the amount of
$2,448,357.28
WHEREAS, such claims have been listed according to Department and account number with
corresponding vouchers to be reviewed and approved by the Mayor and Council; and,
WHEREAS, the CFO has determined that the funds have been properly appropriated for such purposes and are
available, in the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus and that the claims specified on the schedule attached hereto, following
examination and approval by the Mayor and Council, be paid and checks issued accordingly; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus that the claims
totaling $1,813,526.14 be approved and ratified respectively
