OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL
APRIL 18, 2017-7:30 PM
MINUTES
Mayor Randall called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. The opening statement was read.
This is a work session of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus, and members of the public are welcome to be present at this
meeting. Under Chapter 80, Public Laws of 2002, Public Comment is allowed at this meeting. The comment period placement is established by
the Mayor and Council. The governing body has the discretion to set the length of time for public comment.
At Roll members present were. Mayor Randall, Councilmembers Rorty, Shell, and Crossley. Also present were Borough Administrator Bill Jones
and Attorney David Bole.
Absent: Councilmembers Troast, Iannelli and Fiato.

ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT
Borough administrator William Jones discussed:
• Letter received from Ben Rohman for a landscape project at the HHK Train Station.
• The NWBSS paving project
• Valley Hospital’s request of support for move to Paramus
• Ross place slight deterioration, street closed to public until repairs are completed.
• Board of Education meeting scheduled for May 2, 2017 at 7:30 at the Library
• Joint meeting of Governing Body and Planning Board scheduled for June 20, 2017 at 7:30 PM.
PUBLIC DISCUSSION
Kai Fosshage, Thomas Alarcon, Nick Branca, Isabelle Alarcon came before the council to request permission to keep the Fort that was installed
on public property.

With the implementation of the Driving Distracted Education Campaign the police department has issued 500 summonses
Fire department running a fundraiser cost of ticket $20- ATV with Trailer Drawing will be in October.
