Board of Park Commissioners Special Meeting Minutes of March 24, 2021 Call to Order: Mrs. Galka called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m. Roll Call: Commissioners in attendance: Mrs. Galka, Mrs. Sills, Mr. Kara. Also present: Park Director Kelly Goodpaster. Absent: Mr. Weinman and Park Board Secretary Ms. Montes. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Mrs. Sills, seconded by Mr. Kara to approve the agenda as presented. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) New Business: Consideration of Pool Phase 2 Resolution: Mrs. Goodpaster stated that Milestone formerly known as Walsh & Kelly was awarded the contract for the Pool Phase 2 project by the Hobart Stormwater Board. She worked with city staff to produce a joint resolution between the Stormwater District and Board of Park Commissioners authorizing the reimbursement of payments for phase 2 of the City of Hobart Community Pool Project from the Board of Park Commissioners to the Stormwater District for Sidewalk and Paving Improvements. The resolution states the Commissioners will reimburse an amount not to exceed $138,439.56. All other costs associated to the project will be assumed by the Stormwater Board. Mrs. Galka asked commissioners if they had time to review the resolution. All responded yes. Mr. Kara asked if inspections will be done by both departments. Mrs. Goodpaster stated they would and that the Board is more than welcome to be a part of that process. Motion by Mr. Kara, seconded by Mrs. Sills to adopt the Joint Resolution of the Stormwater District (SWD Resolution No. 2021-02) and Board of Park Commissioners (BOP Resolution No. 2021-01).
