MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOBART CIVIL FIRE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HOBART HELD JANUARY 8, 2013 Call to Order: Mr. Pouch called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM, followed by the pledge of allegiance. Roll Call: The following members were present: Mr. Pouch, Mr. Donsbach, and Mr. Drobac. Also present was Secretary Karen Erler-Watson. Approval of the Agenda : Mr. Donsbach made a motion to approve the agenda as presented, seconded by Mr. Mr. Drobac. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) Minutes : Mr. Drobac made a motion to accept the minutes from December, 2012 as presented, seconded by Mr. Donsbach. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) Correspondence: Mr. Pouch reported on the findings of the Slonaker hearing. New Business: Mr. Pouch reported that the Lieutenant’s list expires in May. They should plan on testing to be given in April or May. Mr. Pouch will be taking the exam so it will be the responsibility of Mr. Drobac and Mr. Donsbach to make the arrangements. All other lists expire in 2014. Mr. Pouch made a motion to retain Mr. Donsbach on the Board of Fire Commissioners, seconded by Mr. Drobac. All aye, motion carried. (2-0) Old Business : Mr. Pouch discussed the Fire Prevention Director position. He spoke with Mr. Mindel regarding the matter. Mr. Mindel will confer with Mr. DeBonis. Mr. Pouch will report on this issue at the February meeting. Adjournment: Mr. Drobac made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Donsbach. All aye, motion carried.
