MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOBART CIVIL FIRE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HOBART HELD APRIL 14, 2015 Call to Order: Mr. Pouch called the meeting to order at 6:03 p.m., followed by the pledge of allegiance. Roll Call: The following members were present: Mr. Pouch,Mr. Donsbach and Mr. Drobac. Also present were Fire Chief Kerr and A/C Baker Approval of the Agenda: An addition to the agenda was made by Mr. Pouch to include upcoming Lieutenant testing. Mr. Drobac made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Mr. Donsbach. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) Minutes: Mr. Donsbach made a motion to accept the minutes from the Commission's meeting of March 10, 2014 as presented, seconded by Mr. Drobac. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) Correspondence: There was an attorney invoice presented. (Invoice had already been processed by CT Longer) New Business: A discussion was held on the upcoming Lieutenants test. A tentative date of June 6th was set. Motion by Mr. Drobac seconded by Mr. Donsbach. All Aye, motion carried (3-0). Mr. Pouch will contact the examiner. There was a short discussion on funds to pay bills and costs for testing. Old Business: There was a discussion on the hearing for Capt. Lamprecht. The hearing will start at the next meeting May 12, 2015. An E-Mail and a certified notification will be sent to Capt. Lamprecht along with the guidelines for the hearing. A discussion was held on the proposed rule changes. They have been tabled by the City Council. Mr. Randy Smith spoke to the board about his interest to fill the remainder of the term for Mr. Donsbach. The board has one more interested person (Mike Budzielek) to interview. A discussion was held on starting the Lamprecht hearing during the time the replacement is being done for Mr. Donsbach. Misc. Chief Kerr made mention of the upcoming Slugfest which is a charity event for the burn center. Adjournment: Mr. Donsbach made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Drobac All aye, motion carried.
