MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE HOBART CIVIL FIRE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF HOBART HELD OCTOBER 13, 2015 Call to Order: Mr. Pouch called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., followed by the pledge of allegiance. Roll Call: The following members were present: Mr. Smith, Mr. Drobac and Mr. Pouch. Also present were Fire Chief Kerr. Approval of the Agenda: Mr. Smith made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Mr. Drobac. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) Minutes: Mr. Drobac made a motion to accept the minutes from the Commission's meeting of September 8th as presented, seconded by Mr. Smith. All aye, motion carried (3-0). Correspondence: There was no correspondence. New Business: Chief Kerr requested the name of the next applicant on the list due to the resignation of Pvt. Xavier Silva. Motion by Mr. Smith to give Chief Kerr the name seconded by Mr. Drobac. All aye, motion carried (3-0) Chief Kerr advised that the Fire Officer 2 class that was scheduled for October 2015 was cancelled until February. A short discussion was held on waiving the current requirements on the next Captain’s test or the test date could be made at a later date. No further action was taken at this time. Old Business: None Adjournment: Mr. Drobac made a motion to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Mr. Smith. All aye, motion carried.
