MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING of the CITY OF HOBART CIVIL SERVICE FIRE COMMISSION Hobart City Hall, 414 Main Street, Council Chambers MARCH 18, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. Call to Order: Commission President St. Myers called the Special Meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Roll Call: Members: Mr. St. Myers, Mr. Finnerty. Absent: Mr. Schallenkamp. Also present: Commission Secretary Mr. Pukoszek, Clerk-Treasurer Longer, Asst. Fire Chief Tinsley and Reitz, Local 1641 Union President Hansen Approval of Agenda: A motion was made by Mr. Finnerty to approve the agenda as presented. Seconded by Mr. St. Myers. All aye, motion carried. (2-0) New Business: A discussion about the consideration and certification of the new hiring list took place. -Mr. St. Myers stated that candidate #9609 did not meet the hiring requirements due to regulation 3-3[3]. A motion was made by Mr. Finnerty to exclude candidate #9609 from the hiring list. Motion seconded by Mr. St. Myers. Motion carried. (2-0) -Mr. St. Myers stated that candidate # 9628 did not meet the hiring requirements due to regulation 3-3[4]. A motion was made by Mr. Finnerty to exclude candidate #9628 from the hiring list. Motion seconded by Mr. St. Myers. Motion carried. (2-0) -A completed hiring list was presented by Mr. St. Myers at this time. A motion to accept the list as presented was made by Mr. Finnerty. Motion seconded by Mr. St. Myers. Motion carried. (2- 0). -It is noted that there are 22 candidates on the active hiring list. A motion was made my Mr. Finnerty to accept the fact that there are officially 22 candidates on the active list at this time. Motion seconded by Mr. St. Myers. Motion carried.
