The Special City Commission Meeting of the City of Hollywood, Florida, was called to order by Mayor Bober on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 1:01 PM in the City Commission Room, Room 219, Joseph W. Watson Circle, Hollywood, Florida. 1. Pledge of Allegiance 2. Biederman Commissioner Linda Sherwood Mayor Peter Bober 3. D-2016-001 Discussion By The City Commission On The Broward Office Of The Inspector General (OIG ) Preliminary Report Regarding Transhire. Jennifer Merino, Office of the Inspector General, introduced herself and reviewed the process for the prelimary report. The following individuals expressed personal opinions/concerns: 1. Karen Caputo, 2631 Garfield Street 2. Cliff Germano, 1627 N. 28th Court 3. Nancy Fowler, 2616 Cooledge Street 4. Ken Crawford, 2018 Fletcher Street 5. Helen Chervin, 2470 Adams Street Discussion ensued among members of the Commission. Dr. Wazir Ishmael, City Manager, responded to questions raised by the Commission. Discussion ensued among staff and members of the Commission. Jennifer Merino, Office of the Inspector General, responded to questions raised by the Commission. Discussion ensued among Ms. Merino and members of the Commission. Jeffrey P. Sheffel, City Attorney, responded to questions raised by the Commission. Discussion ensued among members of the Commission. City of Hollywood Page 1 Special City Commission Meeting Meeting Minutes - Final January 26, 2016 ACTION: A motion was made by Commissioner Biederman, seconded by Vice Mayor Hernandez, to file a complaint with ICMA against Cathy Swanson-Rivenbark, former City Manager, and attach the Inspector General's report to it. On a voice vote the motion passed 5-2. Commissioner Asseff and Mayor Bober were opposed. Discussion ensued among members of the Commission. Commissioner Biederman requested a discussion item on the next Commission Meeting agenda to possibly have a charter question to have an internal auditor. Mayor Bober agreed to the request. Extensive discussion ensued among staff and members of the Commission. Commissioner Asseff left the meeting at 2:24 PM and returned at 2:25 PM. Extensive discussion ensued among staff and members of the Commission. Commissioner Blattner left the meeting at 2:26 PM and returned at 2:27 PM. Discussion ensued among members of the Commission. ACTION: A motion was made by Vice Mayor Hernandez to terminate the City Attorney. The motion died due to lack of a second. Extensive discussion ensued among members of the Commission. Commissioner Sherwood left the meeting at 2:28 PM and returned at 2:33 PM. Discussion ensued among staff and members of the Commission.
