CITY OF HORICON PERSONNEL & FINANCE SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 The Personnel & Finance Committee met in Regular Session with Chairperson Hady presiding. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Members Present: Susan Hady and Forest Frami. Members Absent: Don Miller. Public Appearances: None Discussion on Process of Sale of Public Property. Recommendation made to have Dave Magnussen discuss the sale purchase with both adjacent property owners before we proceed. Also, to have this put on the agenda for the September Council meeting. Motion by Frami, second by Hady, to approve the Wage Advancement of Department of Public Works Working Foreman Richard Gerth to be paid $23.96/hr. effective September 2 , 2018. All voting Aye. Motion Carried. Motion by Hady, second by Frami, to approve the Wage Advancement of Class I-A Heavy Equipment Operator in Mid-Point Range of pay for Scott Giesen at $21.42/hr. effective September 2, 2018. All voting Aye. Motion Carried. Motion by Frami, second by Hady, to approve the Hiring of Substitute Part-Time Spring/Fall Parks Employee Rolland Balker of $12.00/hr. All voting Aye. Motion Carried. Discussion on Megan Krapfl, who is currently an EMT; will be a fill in as needed; she lives in Lomira. Nicole Dykstra holds a training permit; will run as second EMT and would run at a regular capacity with the EMS service. Motion by Hady, second by Frami, to approve the hiring of Megan Krapfl and Nicole Dykstra, pending successful physical, drug screen and background check. All voting Aye. Motion Carried. Motion by Frami, second by Hady, to approve Change Order #5 from R&R Wash Materials, Inc. for the sum of $3,632.00 for Bowling Green Park Improvements. All voting Aye. Motion Carried. Motion by Frami, second by Hady, to approve Change Order #6 from R&R Wash Materials, Inc. to reducing the sum of -$5,096. 77 for Bowling Green Park Improvements. All voting Aye. Motion Carried. Motion by Frami, second by Hady, to approve the 2019 Stray Animal Contract for the sum of $4,400 which covers 40 domestic Stray Animals. All voting Aye. Motion Carried. CITY OF HORICON PERSONNEL & FINANCE SEPTEMBER 17, 2018 Motion by Hady, second by Frami, to approve the August 2018 Payables in the amount of $536,964.56 All voting Aye. Motion Carried. Next Personnel & Finance Meeting is set for October 16, 2018 at 6:00pm at the City Hall Council Chambers. Non-Action Discussion: Chief Adamson reported on being awarded two Grants in the amount of $4,000 each. Hady read a thank you card from Geri Pyrek. Discussion on 2019 Budgets. Motion to adjourn by Frami, second by Hady. All voting Aye. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 pm. SH/mk
