City of Horicon Public Safety Committee Minutes September 14, 2021
The Public Safety Committee meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman
Richard Marschke.
Members Present: Marschke, Vanderhei and Maas.
Members Absent: None.
Motion by Maas, second by Vanderhei, to approve the August 10th minutes.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Public Appearances:
- Resident appeared expressing concerns related to bike lanes. Discussion was held and
more research is needed.
Monthly Reports: None.
Motion by Marschke, second by Vanderhei, to approve 2021 Trick-or-Treat for October 31st
from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Fire and EMS will be doing a community event on the same day as Trick-or-Treat.
Signage in Discher Park for the Alley by the Ball fields, to say “Do Not Block Alley.”
Approve Liquor and/or Operator Licenses: None.
Non-Action Discussion:
- Lt. Yanke on bike safety and getting kids across the street safely.
- Kingman on signage change on HWY 33 on speed limits.
Set next meeting date for Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. at the Public Safety
Building.
Motion to adjourn by Marschke, second by Maas.
All voting Aye. Meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
