City of Horicon Public Safety Committee Minutes September 13, 2022
The Public Safety Committee meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairman
Richard Marschke.
Members Present: Marschke Fenske, Remy.
Members Absent: None.
Motion by Remy, second by Marschke, to approve the August 08, 2022, minutes.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Public Appearances:
− Concerned resident on Chandler Street would like speed humps on Chandler and
Washington Streets and signage.
Monthly Reports: None.
East Lake Street Task Force Update:
− Looking into 3 rapid flashing lights (same as near Walgreens in Beaver Dam) by both
Kwik Trip stores and Preferred Dental.
Motion by Remy, second by Marschke, to approve 2022 Trick-or-Treat for Sunday, October
30th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Discussion on two Yield for Pedestrian signs on Nebraska and West Lake Street. DPW will
check on funds.
Motion by Marschke, second by Remy, to approve installing two temporary Yield for
Pedestrians signs on Nebraska and West Lake Street.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Remy, second by Fenske, to approve a 2-Year Operator License for Christopher
Merkel, Stephanie Merkel, Alex Sura and Madison Stegner, and a 1-Year Operator License to
Nisa Fischer.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Set next meeting date for Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Public Safety
Building.
Motion to adjourn by Marschke, second by Remy.
All voting Aye. Meeting adjourned at 6:40 p.m.
