City of Horicon Public Safety Committee Minutes May 9, 2023 The Public Safety Committee meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairperson Marie Fenske. Members Present: Fenske, Frami, Remy. Members Absent: None. Motion by Remy, second by Frami, to approve the April 11, 2023, minutes. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Public Appearances: None. Pedestrian Safety: - Discussion on Pedestrian Safety and moving east Lake Street Task Force into the Public Safety monthly agenda. - Two Police Officers will begiving a presentation at St. Stephen’s School and Horicon School on pedestrian safety. Safe Routes to School: - School bus pick up in the City will not be offered for 2023-2024 school year decided by the school. - Anticipate more pedestrian traffic, discussed routes and possible crossing guards. Safe Routes Between Parks: - Ideas include color coordinated signage. Motion by Fenske, second by Remy, to approve a Temporary Class “B” Retailer’s License for Horicon Chamber of Commerce. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Motion by Fenske, second by Remy, to approve a Class “B” Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage License for the following businesses: Horicon Hills Golf Club Inc, Gingers Hide-Away LLC, Blue Heron Landing LLC, Horicon Post No. 157, and Danny Boys LLC. All voting Aye, Motion carried. Motion by Fenske, second by Remy to approve a Class “A” Liquor and Fermented Malt Beverage License for the following businesses: Sky Enterprises LLC and Kwik Trip, Inc. (E. Lake Street.) All voting Aye. Motion carried. Motion by Fenske, second by Remy to approve a Class “A” Fermented Malt Beverage License for the following businesses: Kwik Trip, Inc (Barstow Street). All voting Aye. Motion carried. Motion by Fenske, second by Remy to approve a Class “A” Liquor - Cider Only Beverage License for the following businesses: Kwik Trip, Inc (Barstow Street.) All voting Aye. Motion carried. Motion by Fenske, second by Remy, to approve 1-Year Operator License to Taylor Schaefer and Breanna Schmude. All voting Aye. Motion carried. City of Horicon Public Safety Committee Minutes May 9, 2023 Motion by Fenske, second by Remy, to approve 2-Year Operator License to Andrea Aschaker, Zachary Cook, Nisa Fischer, Adele Green, Brenda Gress, Caityn Hartwig, Kandie Jorgensen, Conniesue Kirchoff, Holly Koch, Kathryn Kowols, Joanne Link, Frances Mohr, Elizabeth Sliper, Monica Tovar, and Meghan Wetzel. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Set the next meeting date for Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Building. Motion to adjourn by Fenske, second by Remy. All voting Aye.
