City of Horicon Public Safety Committee Minutes June 11, 2024
The Public Safety Committee meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairperson Marie
Fenske.
Members Present: Fenske and Frami.
Members Absent: Remy.
Motion by Frami, second by Fenske, to approve the May 7, 2024 minutes.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Public Appearances:
− A resident expressed his objection to paying for the entire year of garbage services, when
he is only here 3-1/2 months of the year. He requested that the City to look into an option
to opt out of garbage services in cases such as these.
Pedestrian Safety: None.
Speed Wave Enforcement: None.
Interim Police Chief Furseth provided a monthly update on the Police Department.
Motion by Fenske, second by Frami, to approve a 2-year operator license for Jodi Augustine,
Jackie Boone, and Elizabeth Sliper.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Fenske, second by Frami, to approve a 1-year operator license for Miranda
Guenterberg and Nicole Kannass.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Fenske, second by Frami, to approve a Class “B” Liquor and Fermented Malt
Beverage License for Ginger’s Hide-Away LLC and Blue Heron Landing LLC.
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Motion by Fenske, second by Frami, to approve a Class “A” Fermented Malt Beverage
License for Dolgencorp, LLC
All voting Aye. Motion carried.
Set the next meeting date for Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Building.
Motion to adjourn by Frami, second by Fenske.
All voting Aye. The meeting adjourned at 5:23 p.m.
