HORTONVILLE/HORTONIA FIRE DISTRICT BOARD FIRE DISTRICT MEETING 6:00 pm Wednesday, April 10, 2024 700 W. Nye St, Hortonville, WI MINUTES 1. Roll Call a. Roll call: Tom Banker, Jim Moeller, Andy Moeller, Nancy Willenkamp, Mike Bellile 2. Fire/EMS 2024 budget to date a. Both budgets were presented and discussed 3. Fire/EMS 2024 calls to date a. Fire calls; 23 in the first quarter (Average) 9 calls already in April b. EMS calls; 58 (Average) 4. New Pumper/Tender discussion a. Chief Kuhnke gave us an update on purchasing a new Pumper/Tender. Pierce gave us a quote of 1.18 million dollars with roughly a 49 month wait for a build date. b. We are in the process of getting 2 other quotes c. We are working to lower the cost of the vehicle 5. Open Forum a. Chief Kuhnke informed us that our new pickup and trailer are in service b. Radios from our grant are here and being programmed c. Old trailer was sold for $6,820 d. EMS truck parking has been resolved e. The high number of calls to Tyson Foods and Care Partners have both gotten less since informing them of the problems 10. Adjourn a.
