Senior Activities Committee Update for Village Board June 2024 The Senior Activities Committee met on Thursday June 13th at noon. Activities since the last meeting: May 13th, Co ee and Conversation: Gardening with Lynn (master gardener) leading discussion while we painted flower pots. May 20th: Birthday party followed by planting of pots in front of building, planned raised bed gardens on the trail. June 3rd: Potluck. Planned to plant raised beds but were rained out. Played trivia. (Raised beds were planted after book club on June 5th) June 10th: Co ee and Conversation: Mike Vanevenhoven, photographer. Powerpoint of his photos of Black Otter Lake, Hortonville, and rural areas. Discussed techniques. Planned Upcoming Events: June 17th: Birthday Party-games and cleaning up pots and raised beds July 1st: No potluck, taking this week o July 8th: Birthday Party. Library sta to lead discussion on importance of play, based on recent book. July 15th: Joint picnic with Summer Rec Program at Commercial Club Park. Siri Claybaugh, Rec Director, attended our meeting to be a part of the planning. We will eat together and then play board and yard games. Senior Autumn Fest: We continue to receive sponsorships and vendor booth reservations. St. Peter/Paul is reserved, approved the rental fee of $200. We will review specific menu and caterer options next month. Panel details and specific focus for each participant will be finalized soon. Next meeting is Thursday July 18th at noon.
