Senior Activities Committee Update for Village Board December 2024 Our committee met on Thursday, December 12th. Activities since last meeting: November 18th: Potluck with discussion of “Stalag Hortonville”. Great turnout, with about 35 people attending. Sarah Bultman, Outreach and Program Coordinator for the library and Sr. Activities Committee member, led the discussion. Sharing of stories, excerpts from the book (“Stalag Wisconsin”), and good discussion. December 2nd: Potluck: smaller group December 9th: Co ee and Conversation. No speaker, but good conversation. Two new attendees Upcoming Events planned: December 16th: Holiday Party and Lights Tour. HHH Van will pick up those that requested, carpooling for tour. Community Chorus will perform January 6th: Potluck; “National Soup Month”. Will order soup from Donaldson’s, potluck for side dishes, desserts. Planning for a speaker or bingo January 13th: Co ee and Conversation with Kim from Long Term Care Board Discussion regarding ways to increase attendance. Brainstormed ideas for events, field trips, visiting local businesses, history, etc. Also discussed how having our own building would facilitate many programs.
