VILLAGE OF HORTONVILLE Senior Activities Committee Meeting Minutes Thursday May 1, 2025 at 12:00 pm 1. Call to Order Meeting was called to order at 12:02 2. Introductions as needed 3. Agenda Changes – None. 4. Approval of April 10, 2025 meeting minutes Motion [Gorski, Bultman] to approve, unanimous voice vote, motion carried. 5. Thank you cards for speakers and donors (signed during meeting) None. 6. Review of activities since last meeting April 14th: Field Trip to History Museum at the Castle – went well, castle was very good, the Houdini exhibition was on the top and was very interesting, afterward we went to the Black Bear Restaurant. April 21st: May Baskets – turned out very well. 7. Upcoming Activities May 5th: Cinco de Mayo—games/pinata – games and Senior Activities to provide food. May 12th: Tai Chi with Kelly Sassman – Kelly will be presenting. May 19th: Movie/Baseball snacks – For the Love of the Game June 2: Planting and potluck - June 9th: Whistler’s Knoll (11 am) – Pizza’s and Tour of Winery June 16th: Indigenous Dancer – Part of the Summer Program July 7th: Picnic with Rec Program - July 14th: Coffee July 21st: Birthday Bingo Bash 8. May-July Calendars 9. Autumn Fest Review Menu The committee decided on Meat Block for catering – sloppy joes and shredded chicken, mac & cheese, potato salad. Discuss Program ideas – the program idea is still going. 10. Community/Senior Center Community Foundation appointment – Group talked about the Old Wolf River Bank – they are currently keeping this. Tours of other centers to be scheduled – touring the Opera House? 11. Items for Future Agendas Autumn Fest - Community Center – Look at New London, Waupaca, Waupun, Clintonville. Field Trips/programs Summer Rec picnic 12. Future meeting dates: June 12, July 10 13. Adjournment Motion [Bultman, Zimmerman] to adjourn. Ayes, 7, Nays 0 Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 1:35 p.m.
