MEETING MINUTES City of Hot Springs Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) June 16th, 2022 1:00 pm City of Hot Springs Board Chambers, 133 Convention Blvd, Hot Springs, AR 71901 In-Person and Virtual Teleconference Meeting 1. Call to Order by CDAC Chair Larry Williams at 1:05 pm 2. Roll Call: Kelly Thomason, Alice Marshall, Gene Williams, Becca Clark, Larry Williams In attendance were: Kelly Thomason (CDAC Member) Becca Clark (CDAC Member) Larry Williams (CDAC Chair) Andrew Coker Cheryl Batts Anne Quinn Not in attendance: Alice Marshall (CDAC Member) Gene Williams (CDAC Member) 3. Approval of April 7, 2022 meeting minutes Motion: Kelly Thomason 2nd: Becca Clark 4. New Business a. Annual Action Plan a. Overview of public comments received i. CDBG Administrator Andrew Coker presented the 2022 AAP for CDAC and fielded questions from CDAC members. b. Public Comment Period i. One comment was read and submitted by Cheryl Batts in support of the Miss Ida’s House of Care and Love FY22 application.  ii. One comment was read and submitted by Dr. Keenan J. Davis in support of the Miss Ida’s House of Care and Love FY22 application. c. CDAC discussion d. CDAC approval Motion: Larry Williams Second: Becca Clark Vote: 3-0 unanimous to approve the 2022 Annual Action Plan and send it to the Board of Directors for its’ consideration. 5. Old Business a. Program updates: i. FY2022 CDBG allocation announcement from HUD $460,152.00. ii. FONSI notice for 2020 sidewalk projects, Whittington, Chelsea, and Creek. iii. Gibson Street property from H4H in final environmental clearance stages. iv. Cedar Street Sidewalk improvement completed. v. Malvern Avenue Improvement Project (2016-2019 allocations) completed. Two more projects totaling $63,800 in FY22 projects. 6. Announcements a. The next scheduled CDAC meeting is July 7th, 2022 at 1:00 pm in City Hall Board Chambers. b. AR SAILS invited the public to their Open House event at 225 Hazel Street. 7. Adjournment at 1:40 pm.
