Brown Act Presentation by Mike Vigliotta, City Attorney’s Office APPROVAL OF MINUTES 1. Don MacAllister Memorial Plaque – At the January 17, 2023 City Council meeting, a Council Member Item directed staff to work with the Community & Library Services Commission and leadership of the Greater Huntington Beach Interfaith Council to help develop a proposal for a public memorial honoring Don MacAllister on Tower Zero and to return to City Council within 90 days to present the proposal for consideration. Recommended Action: Approve and make recommendation to City Council to approve the design concept and placement of a memorial plaque honoring Donald “Don” Andrews MacAllister at Tower Zero on the Huntington Beach Municipal Pier. 23-129 Don MacAllister Memorial Plaque Attachments: Don MacAllister Memorial Plaque RCA 02082023 2. Norma E. Gibbs Park Restoration Milestones Plaque – A request was made by Leslie Gilson, volunteer Restoration Coordinator for Norma E. Gibbs “Butterfly” Park, to design and install a plaque memorializing the chronology of volunteer efforts and restoration milestones of the park since 2007. Recommended Action: Approve the design and installation of a plaque honoring volunteer efforts of the restoration and beautification of Norma E.
