Each speaker may have up to 3 minutes unless the volume of speakers warrants reducing the time allowance and cannot donate time to others. Individuals wishing to speak may do so in one of two (2) ways: 1. In-Person: Fill out a Request to Speak form and deliver it to the Staff Liaison. Once the Chair opens Public Comments, in-person participants will be called to speak first. 2. In Writing: Submit written comments via email to cgomez@surfcity-hb.org by 1:00 PM on the day of the meeting. All written communications will be forwarded to the Community & Library Services Commission and recorded as supplemental communication APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-510 1. Request approval of the April 12, 2023 meeting minutes. ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS Page 1 of 3 Community & Library Services AGENDA June 14, 2023 Commission 23-511 1. Oak View Library & Community Center - Staff will present the proposed master plan prepared by Johnson Favaro, LLC for the redesign of Oak View Community Center and Branch Library. Recommended Action: Approve the proposed master plan for recommendation to City Council. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS 23-512 1. Norma Brandel Gibbs Historical Information Plaque - Commission recommended City Council approval of the design and installation of the historical information plaque at their February 8, 2023 meeting. The Historic Resources Board approved the plaque language on Wednesday, May 17, 2023. This item will now move forward to City Council at a future meeting for final approval. 23-513 2.
