Each speaker may have up to 3 minutes unless the volume of speakers warrants reducing the time allowance and cannot donate time to others. Individuals wishing to speak may do so in one of two (2) ways: 1. In-Person: Fill out a Request to Speak form and deliver it to the Staff Liaison. Once the Chair opens Public Comments, in -person participants will be called to speak first. 2. In Writing: Submit written comments via email to cgomez@surfcity-hb.org by 1:00 PM on the day of the meeting. All written communications will be forwarded to the Community & Library Services Commission and recorded as supplemental communication. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 23-972 Request approval of the September 13, 2023, meeting minutes held over from the October Commission meeting, and request approval for the October 11, 2023, meeting minutes. Page 1 of 3 Community & Library Services AGENDA November 8, 2023 Commission PRESENTATIONS Meadowlark Golf Club Charity Golf Tournament Opportunities Drawing – Through the City’s lease with Arcis Golf, who operates Meadowlark Golf Club, the City is allotted one tournament per year to provide to a local non-profit. The City will select the non-profit for hosting the charity golf tournament at the Community & Library Services meeting through a random lottery-style opportunity drawing. ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS 23-979 Seaview Little League - Request for Batting Cage Relocation: Seaview Little League (SVLL) is requesting approval to relocate an existing batting cage to the west end of the baseball facility, adjacent to the original batting cages. There is a need for Commission to approve the project prior to review by the Design Review Board (DRB). Recommended Action: Approve the request by Seaview Little League to relocate an existing batting cage at LeBard Park adjacent to the original cages and move the item forward to the Design Review Board for the design approval process.
