Each speaker may have up to 3 minutes unless the volume of speakers warrants reducing the time allowance and cannot donate time to others. Individuals wishing to speak may do so in one of two (2) ways: 1. In-Person: Fill out a Request to Speak form and deliver it to the Staff Liaison. Once the Chair opens Public Comments, in -person participants will be called to speak first. 2. In Writing: Submit written comments via email to cgomez@surfcity-hb.org by 1:00 PM on the day of the meeting. All written communications will be forwarded to the Community & Library Services Commission and recorded as supplemental communication. APPROVAL OF MINUTES 24-018 Request approval of the September 13, 2023; October 11, 2023; and November 8, 2023, meeting minutes. PRESENTATIONS Specific Events Update – Supervisor, Molly Uemura will provide an update on the City ’s 2023 Specific Events. Page 1 of 3 Community & Library Services AGENDA January 10, 2024 Commission ADMINISTRATIVE ITEMS Election of Chair and Vice-Chair – The Community & Library Services Commission shall hold its annual elections. As the 2023 term of officers expires, the Director of Community & Library Services shall preside over the election of Chair. Nominations are solicited in advance via email, and additional nominations may be made from the floor. After the election of Chair, the new Chair shall preside over the remainder of the Commission meeting, beginning with the election of the Vice-Chair. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS 1.
