Public comments may be submitted via two options: 1) Submit written comments to community.development@surfcity-hb.org (reference Design Review Board and the agenda item number) by 10:00 AM the day of the meeting. If you would like your e-comment read aloud at the hearing, please indicate so in your email; or 2) Join the meeting remotely from your phone. Please let staff know at the start of the meeting that you wish to speak on a particular item. You will have THREE MINUTES to speak, per person, no donating of time. (3 MINUTES PER PERSON, NO DONATING OF TIME TO OTHERS) CONSENT CALENDAR - None ADMINSTRATIVE ITEMS Page 1 of 3 Design Review Board AGENDA October 8, 2020 20-1847 DESIGN REVIEW BOARD NO. 20-001 (602 PCH RESTAURANT ADDITION) REQUEST: To review the design, colors, and materials of a proposed exterior façade remodel to an existing 1,850 sq. ft. commercial building and an approximately 1,300 sq. ft. restaurant addition with a 175 sq. ft. outdoor dining area. LOCATION: 602 Pacific Coast Highway (northwest corner of PCH and 6th Street) Recommended Action: That the Design Review Board take the following actions: A) Recommend approval of Design Review No. 2020-001 to the Zoning Administrator. 20-1924 DESIGN REVIEW BOARD NO. 19-018 (KELTER DEVELOPMENT) REQUEST: To review the design, colors, and materials of a new four-unit, three-story condominium project. LOCATION: 1620 Pacific Coast Highway, 92648 (southeast corner of Pacific Coast Highway and 17th Street) Recommended Action: That the Design Review Board take the following actions: A) Recommend Approval of Design Review No. 19-018 to the Zoning Administrator. 20-1928 DESIGN REVIEW BOARD NO. 20-003 (AES HB ENERGY PROJECT) REQUEST: To review the design, colors, and materials of a revised architectural treatment screen for the newly completed power plant structure. The proposal is to replace the previously approved “wave wall/ball wall,” with a new painted mural on the southwest sides of the power plant complex.
