OCSD Staff will provide updates on ongoing projects.

Update on AES Huntington Beach Energy Project

POSEIDON PROJECT

ASCON LANDFILL PROJECT
Remedial work at the Ascon Landfill Site is temporarily shutdown to allow for
implementation additional monitoring and mitigation, and technical planning prior to
restart of work. Air quality monitoring continues 24/7, along with Site security. Dust and
odor mitigation measures continue during the shutdown. The installation of the 16-foot
barrier fence along the public streets of Hamilton Avenue and Magnolia Street is in
progress. Please use the 24-hotline for questions or concerns, 714-388-1825 (please
use 911 for anything thought to be an emergency). Information and updates are posted
on the project website, www.AsconHB.com, as well as the State regulatory agency
website, www.Envirostor.dtsc.ca.gov. Sign up for email updates at www.AsconHB.com.
A brief update on actions and shutdown field activities will be provided.
MAJOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
Staff will report on status of major development projects in the southeast area
progressing through the development review process.
