CouncilmemberMontgomery movedtoapprovetheconsentagendaandwassecondedbyCouncilmemberJohnson. MayorWoodwardandthen CouncilmembersHumphreyandMontgomeryaskedtopullitemcuponconcernbyCouncilmembersRodriquezand Brauningeroverdonationstonon-profits. Themotiontoapproveitemsaandbpassedunanimously, 8-0. CouncilmemberHumphrey movedtoapproveitemc andwassecondedbyCouncilmemberMontgomery. TheCity AttorneyremindedtheCityCouncilthattheymustdeterminethatnon-profitrecipientsmeetapublicpurposeandthata contractissignedforeachtooutlinethetermsofneedsanduses. CouncilmemberBrauningerstressedthathe supportednon-profitworkandcontributedtoanumberhimself,butwasdisquietedbytheCitymakingdecisionsabout donationsforthetaxpayersatlarge.
