Finance Committee Minutes July 2, 2019 Members Present: Joe Rodriquez, Paul Davidhizar, and Tish Humphrey Staff Present: Steve Ritter, Aron Kulhavy, Tammy Gann, and Ram Ramachandra The agenda items discussed were: • Approved the minutes from the June 8,2019 meeting. • Tammy discussed the bids received on the Visitor’s center repairs. They are recommending that the bid we awarded to K. Tillman Construction in the amount of $194,444. Tammy discussed where the funds were going to be coming from:
663-882-55080 Travel and Training in the amount of $2,725.20 (to be transferred to the building maintenance account

Remaining funds in the CIP Expansion/Renovation project $65,019.80 Tammy indicated that they have checked refences on the winning bidder and all came back positive. This item will go in front of the entire City Council on July 16th. • Ram discussed the need for replacement of approx. 1,100 feet of failing 10” sewer line. TDCJ is willing to allow the City and easement onto their property for the repairs. Ram is recommending that we “up-size” the pipe to allow for more capacity. This item if approved by City Council at the July 16th meeting will be a change order with the existing contractor that is replacing sewer lines for the City.
