March Minutes – Tom Hersh motioned to approve as written. John LoBuono seconded. All in favor.

DIRECTOR’S REPORT – Greg Weitzel
Currently working on two separate Community Garden Agreements.
Open Seat on Parks and Recreation Commission available for application process.
RFQ for Heritage Park is out.
Anticipating changes for the Fourth of July celebration location.
District 91 LWCF property issue is stopping us from getting grants. Working on getting issue resolved.
Zoo Education Center RFQ is out.
TPZS agreement refresh/formalization in process.
DEPARTMENT REPORTS
Golf – Tim Reinke
Revenue is over $90k through March.
Kevin Kavran explains the new teaching too, Launch Monitor to the group.
First Tee Program is wrapping up for the season.
Website highlights discussed.
Zoo – David Pennock
Opening day is April 14th
33 volunteers helped on Zoo Cleanup Day.
24 new volunteers trained.
Zoo Crew application Deadline is today.
Last month of Zoo Mobile visits.
Sunny Katseanes is becoming a certified trainer.
New pathway to be completed before opening day.
New Signage is up.
New otters are being introduced and acclimated to one another.
New Babies: sloth bear, camel, lion
Recreation – PJ Holm
Introduction of Roberto Abreo as new Recreation Specialist.
Spring / Summer Guide is out – copies distributed.
Kiosk on River Walk is being installed.
Aquatic Center Scoreboard purchased with grant money is being installed.
Sports and events updates.
Parks/Cemeteries – Brent Martin/Ronnie Campbell
Banner updates.
Converted the ballfield at Esquire to 70’ base path.
Preparing new building for Brent and Ronnie’s new offices.
New bike racks at the restrooms around the River Walk are installed.
Ryder Park project has begun.
Fieldwork for sports has begun.
Cemetery updates.
BONNEVILLE COUNTY – D. Radford
New restroom being installed at Blacktail with grant moneys.
Parking lots at Juniper and Blacktail are being resurfaced with grant moneys.
GOLF REPORT – Tom Hersh
Last GAB meeting fee increases were discussed and supported.
SCHOOL DISTRICT #91 – Kerry Martin (absent)
No Report.
SCHOOL DISTRICT #93 – Mike Davis (absent)
No Report
SHADE TREE COMMITTEE – Matt Hill
Arbor Day will be May 9th at 10am. Ceremony will be shared with Chesbro who is sponsoring a new Tree Walk
program.
