CITY OF IOWA COLONY
BE IT REMEMBERED ON THIS, the 22’ day of October, 2018, the City Council of the City of Iowa
Colony, Texas, held a Public Hearing and a Special Council Meeting at 7:00 P.M. at the regular meeting
place thereof in the City Hall there being present and in attendance the following members to wit:
Mayor Michael Holton
Councilwoman Susan Cottrell
Councilwoman Robin Bradbery
Councilwoman Kacy Smajstrla
Councilman Michael Byrum-Bratsen
Councilman Chad Wilsey
And none being absent, constituting a quorum at which time the following business was transacted.
SPECIAL MEETING— 7:00 P.M.
1. Mayor Holton called the meeting to order at 7:03 P.M.
2. Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
PUBLIC HEARING on the intent to annex the intersection of State Highway 288 and Meridiana Parkway
(County Road 56).
Mayor Holton opened public hearing at 7:04 P.M. There were no comments from the public. Mayor
Holton closed the public hearing at 7:24 P.M.
3. Approve an Ordinance authorizing the Iowa Colony Development Authority to issue its Tax
Increment Contract Revenue Bonds in an amount not to exceed $11,000,000 in accordance with the
Plan of Finance approved by the Authority, and authorize appropriate action. Councilwoman Cottrell
moved to adopt an ordinance to approve Amendment #1 to the TIRZ 2 Project and Financing Plan.
Motion was seconded by Councilwoman Bradbery. Motion was approved unanimously.
4. Being no further business, Councilwoman Cottrell moved to adjourn. Seconded by
Councilwoman Smajstrla. Approved unanimously.

(CHAPTER 551) OF THE TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE. THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA
COLONY WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AND COUNCIL MEETING AT 7:00 P.M. ON
MONDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2018 AT IOWA COLONY CITY HALL, 12003 IOWA COLONY
BLOULEVARD (FCR 65) IOWA COLONY, TEXAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING AND IF
APPROPRIATE, TAKE ACTION WITH RESPECT TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.
This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available.
Requests for accommodations or interpreter services must be made 48 hours prior
to this meeting. Please contact the City Secretary at 281-369-2471.

posted pursuant to the Texas Open Meeting Act (Chapter 55! of the Texas Government Code) on
