THE CITY COUNCIL OF IOWA COLONY WILL HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BUDGET AT 7:00 P.M. ON MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9,2019 AT IOWA COLONY CITY HALL, 12003 IOWA COLONY BOULEVARD (FCR 65) IOWA COLONY, TEXAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING AND IF APPROPRIATE. TAKE ACTION WITH RESPECT TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS. This facility is wheelchair accessible and accessible parking spaces are available. Requests for accommodations or interpreter services must be made 48 hours prior to this meeting. Please contact the City Secretary at 281-369-2471. PUBLIC HEARING 1. Call to order. 2. Pledge of Allegiance and Texas Pledge. 3. Hold a public hearing on the budget for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2019. THIS BUDGET WILL RAISE LESS TOTAL PROPERTY TAXES THAN LAST YEAR’S BUDGET BY $129,564 OR 14.24%. THE PROPERTY TAX REVENUE TO BE RAISED FROM NEW PROPERTY ADDED TO THE TAX ROLL THIS YEAR IS $243,825. 4. Citizens Comments. An opportunity for the public to address City Council on agenda items or concerns not on the agenda. To comply with the Texas Open Meetings Act, this period is not for question and answer. Those wishing to speak must fill out the sign-up sheet at the entrance to the council chambers prior to the start of the meeting, and observe a three-minute time limit.” 5. Adjourn.
