SPECIAL MEETING, MARCH 6, 2025

City Hall, 102 3rd Ave SE, Jamestown, ND 58401
The special meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Heinrich at 4:15 P.M.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag was recited.
Roll Call showed the following members present: Council Members Heinrich, Kamlitz, Phillips, Schloegel,
Steele, Assistant City Attorney Geroux, and Deputy Auditor Sveum.
Council Member Kamlitz moved a resolution to approve the Purchase Agreement, Quitclaim Deed, and Bill of
Sale of the Chamber of Commerce building, located at 120 2nd St S.E. Jamestown, to the Jamestown Stutsman
Development Corporation (JSDC) and authorize the Mayor to sign the documents. Seconded by Council
Member Phillips. Corry Shevlin, JSDC Chief Executive Officer, and Assistant City Attorney Geroux provided
information. Roll Call No. 1: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. Carried.
Council Member Kamlitz moved a resolution to approve the proposed mailer for non-responsiveness to the new
water meter program changing the word home to property. Seconded by Council Member Steele. Jason
Bivens, Project Manager, Interstate Engineering, and Assistant City Attorney Geroux provided information.
Council Members discussed the potential impact of a fee on properties, notice of a fee, fee amount, and reason
for the fee. Roll Call No. 2: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. Carried.
Council Member Kamlitz moved a resolution to approve a fee of $25 for manually reading water meters on
properties. Seconded by Council Member Steele. Roll Call No. 3: 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 absent. Carried.
Council Member Schloegel moved to adjourn at 4:42p.m. Seconded by Council Member Kamlitz. Unanimous
aye vote. Carried.
