Beer Board Meeting Minutes July 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM Jefferson City Municipal Building 1. Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 5:46pm following the work session. 2. Roll Call PRESENT Member Mitch Cain Member Kevin Bunch Member Ailene Combs Member Rocky Melton Member Sheala Purkey Also present were James Gallup, City Manager; Robert Burts, City Attorney; and Bettina Chandler, City Recorder. 3. Citizen Comments (Citizens should state their name, address, and limit comments to five minutes.) Mr. Patel told the Board that this application was to change ownership of an existing business. a. Public Hearing for an application for Certificate of Compliance for an off-premises liquor store for The Barrel House Liquor & Wine located at 110 West Broadway Boulevard There were no comments from the public. 4. Old Business a. Reconsideration of an application for Certificate of Compliance for an off-premises liquor store for The Barrel House Liquor & Wine located at 110 West Broadway Boulevard Chairman Cain said the Board was given information from Attorney Burts regarding their denial of this application at the last meeting. Attorney Burts said the application meets all the requirements for a Certificate of Compliance. The Board has no legal reason to deny the application. Board member Purkey said she did not understand that it was a current business seeking to change ownership.  Motion by Member Combs, seconded by Member Purkey to rescind the prior action to deny the Certificate. Voting Yea: Member Cain, Member Bunch, Member Combs, Member Melton, Member Purkey Motion made by Member Melton, Seconded by Member Combs to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness for The Barrel House Liquor & Wine. Voting Yea: Member Cain, Member Bunch, Member Combs, Member Melton, Member Purkey 5. Adjourn The meeting was adjourned at 5:54pm.
