MAY 8, 2018 The Jerseyville City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at the Jerseyville City Hall. ROLL CALL: Present were Commissioners Steve Pohlman, Kevin Stork, Gary Goetten and Mayor Bill Russell. Comm. Gary Goetten was absent. Also present was City Attorney, Bill Strang. Comm. Pohlman led the opening prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. A motion was made by Comm. Stork, and seconded by Comm. Pohlman, to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting April 24, 2018. Roll call vote showed Pohlman, aye; Goetten, abstain; Stork, aye: Russell, aye; and Perdun, absent; no nays, motion carried. A motion was made by Comm. Stork, seconded by Comm. Pohlman to approve the bills as presented in the amount of $233,879.61. Roll call vote showed Pohlman, aye; Stork, aye; Perdun, absent; and Mayor Russell, aye; no nays, motion carried. A motion was made by Comm. Goetten, seconded by Comm. Stork, to approve the closure of STREET CLOSURE FOR THE BBQ Jefferson Street from Spruce to Snedeker and Jefferson Street from Jefferson to 206 E. Spruce June 1st, FESTIVAL 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to June 3, 2018 at 12:00 a.m. for the BBQ Brews and Bluegrass Festival. Roll call vote showed all present voted aye, no nays; motion carried. A motion was made by Comm. Stork, seconded by Comm. Goetten, to approve the TIF Application of Tri-County FS which focuses on the construction of new building & use of an existing building for a TIF APPLICATION APPROVED new Seed Treatment & Distribution Center at 8 industrial Drive. The TIF Contract would be for 60% of FOR TRICOUNTY FS PROJECT. the tax increment for 15 years, not to exceed the eligible costs of the project or the life of the TIF. Roll call vote showed all present voted aye, no nays, motion carried. DISCUSSION ON 4-WAY STOP Under public comment, resident, Gary Strebel, requested information regarding the 4-way stop at JUNE & FAIRGROUNDS June St. and Fairgrounds Ave. The Mayor announced that there would be no closed session. A motion was made by Comm. Stork, seconded by Comm. Goetten, to adjourn the meeting. Roll call vote NO CLOSED SESSION showed all ayes, no nays, motion carried. ADJOURNMENT
