7. MOTIONS
A. Motion to approve the Jessup Borough Employee Handbook.
B. Motion to hire Attorney Donald Karpowich as litigation counsel for the Borough at the
rate of $140/hour.
C. Motion to approve the land development plan for the Sunnyside Road Warehouse project
with the following conditions: a) Applicant obtains NPDES permit; b) Applicant
executes a completion bond and posts the same with the Borough; and c) Applicant
makes revisions to the title block of the plans.
D. Motion to enter into an Operations and Maintenance Agreement with Sunnyside Road
Associates, LLC.
E. Motion to forward SALDO amendments for review by the Lackawanna Co. Regional
Planning Commission.
F. Motion to advertise a public hearing and intent to adopt the proposed SALDO
amendments.
G. Motion to adopt Resolution 14 - 2023 which enters into a new collective bargaining
agreement with Teamsters Local Union No. 229 for the Jessup Police Department.
H. Motion to advertise for the Borough Solicitor.
I. Motion to enter into a Separation Agreement with Police Chief Joseph Walsh in the
amount of $113,984.00.
J. Motion to enter into an agreement for Breaker Street conditioned upon review of a
satisfactory legal description and survey map.
K. Motion to award Sikora Brothers Paving, Inc. the Bridge Street project in the amount of
$817,901.00.
L. Motion to approve the Jessup Police Department Temporary Light Duty Policy.
M. Motion to enter into a 3 year contract with Rave Alert for $15,390.00.
N. Motion to adopt Resolution 15-2023 authorizing an application to LSA Monroe for the
Youth Sports Storage Facility at Memorial Field in the amount of $231,250.00.
O. Motion to purchase traffic control signs, warning signs, yield to pedestrian signs, cones,
and supplies from Econ Signs in the amount of $8764.61.
P. Motion to reinvest the Treasury Bill maturing on October 5th into a 1 year Treasury Bill
for $127,000.00 to continue the Treasury Bill investment ladder.
Q. Motion to advertise an amendment to the Rental Registration Ordinance.
