Johnson EATS Committee Monthly Meeting Minutes Thursday, April 16, 2026 6:00 pm, Masonic Temple Basement (Temporary Library) Meeting was open to virtual attendance Board Members (P=Present; A=Absent) Pam Jaspersohn A Kate Riley A Jasmine Yuris P Diane Lehouillier P Charlotte Roozekrans P Gregor Novakowski A Jesse Whitworth P Visitors present: Liz 1.​ Meeting convened at 6PM 2.​ March Minutes approval was tabled due to access issues 3.​ Actions: a.​ A motion was passed to spend up to $300 on gift certificates from local Johnson businesses to be used as prizes for community events, thereby supporting the local economy while providing incentives for attendees 4.​ Discussions included: a.​ EATS Farm brochure - printing budget to be voted on in May b.​ Planning for community meals i.​ May meal at JES ii.​ End-of-year school picnic (6/15) iii.​ Pizza oven 1.​ Seasonal kick-off? 2.​ Pie-baking for Blueberry festival 3.​ Educational and community use of oven iv.​ Fall meal at JES c.​ Ongoing and future collaborations i.​ Johnson food shelf 1.​ JES access 2.​ Delivery logistics  ii.​ Children’s Summer Meals Program iii.​ Blueberry Festival (Aug. 1) iv.​ Johnson Recreation Committee v.​ CAE, Farm Connects, food shelves, and farms (local food sharing and storage, food waste avoidance) d.​ Grants i.​ Creating shared doc with verbiage for apps ii.​ Securing Select Board blanket approval to pursue grants iii.​ Future funding possibilities: LRCD, Healthy Lamoille Valley, Ben and Jerry’s, Concept 2 e.​ Educational opportunities related to local food/farms 5.​ Treasurer’s report a.​ The group holds approximately $1,799 in funds 6.​ Next meeting: 5/21 7.​ Meeting adjourned at 7:30
