Skatepark Meeting

JOHNSON SKATEPARK & BIKE TRACK COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES JOHNSON MUNICIPAL BUILDING / REMOTE ATTENDANCE BY ZOOM WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2026 Present: Committee Members: Casey Romero, Howard Romero, Alexis Daniels, George Swanson (via Zoom) Others: John Sutherland Absent: Greg Fatigate Note: All votes taken are unanimous unless otherwise noted. 1. Call to Order Casey called the meeting to order at 5:35. 2. Prospective Committee Members: Introduction, Discussion No prospective committee members were in attendance. 3. Minutes of December 10, 2025 Howard moved to approve the minutes of December 10, 2025, Alexis seconded and the motion was passed. 4. Directors’ Orders & Town Budget Update Casey said the only bill was for meeting minutes. She said we will know more about the town budget after the selectboard meeting tonight. 5. FEMA Project: RFP & Other Updates Casey said new town administrator John Sutherland has started working on the RFP for the FEMA project. 6. Grant Work: Security Camera Research Casey and Alexis had no progress to report on researching cameras. 7. Laraway Report George said students have been doing some outside projects, but the weather has not been good for being outside. There is a ski and ride program every Friday. They are gearing up for sugaring. They tie math and science into sugaring and they are able to supply syrup for all students and staff. This year they had enough for the kitchen to last to the beginning of the year. They are still applying for some grants. There will probably be some students in the summer program who would like to help out with maintenance, painting, etc. at the skatepark. 8. Site: Water Line, Other Issues Casey said there is nothing new to report on the water line and there are no other issues. 9.
