JOHNSON TUESDAY NIGHT LIVE COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES
JOHNSON MUNICIPAL BUILDING
TUESDAY, APRIL 14, 2026
Present: Howard Romero, Tim Mikovitz, Sophia Berard, Tom Moog, Charles Flaum
Absent: Geoff Hollis
Note: All votes taken are unanimous unless otherwise noted.
Howard called the meeting to order at 6:15.
Howard said he spent $242.69 for 500 cards.
We are having Great Big Graphics do a first run of about 5 signs for about $100 or $125.
Howard found that it took 5 minutes to sand one side of a 16-inch sign with a power sander. The
next step is to fill in knotholes, then prime them and paint them yellow.
Howard did drawings for an RFP the town has put out for Legion Field. There will be a meeting
on site on April 22 at 1:00 to talk about moving the bandstand and the work on the bandstand.
Howard cleared brush behind the bandstand. He would like to see the bandstand on solid
concrete blocks. He has a reasonably good site for it staked out. He just learned today from the
village electric department that the transformer box at the vault is too low. It has to be dug up
and raised. It is behind the library, not far from the bandstand. All the fill that has been put on the
site is a real problem. There is way too much of it. We need a contractor to dig trenches for the
electric conduit. It remains to be seen whether the vault will be moved in a timely
manner. Howard and John Sutherland discussed running power to two locations for vendors.
Power will also be run from the vault to the bandstand. Hopefully that will be in the contract for
Phase 1.
Howard said Lauren had some questions for him about the form for sponsors. He tried to clear
them up. Howard said Lauren had asked if we have a logo. Committee members pointed out the
image we have used on signs and water bottles.
Tom and Sophia both said they had emailed Carrie about the poster. Neither of them has heard
back from her.
Sophia said Tom has found 3 bands and she will find the other 3.
Charles said he learned that Beg, Steal and Borrow will not be available for the Blueberry Jam.
Tom suggested someone who he knows is available.
Sophia reviewed the vendors from last year. Some are planning to come back and some she is
not sure about.
During the meeting, committee members worked on signing and addressing thank you cards to
sponsors. Charles said there are 6 whose addresses he needs to look up after the meeting.
Howard said he will take the cards to the town office to be mailed.
