Jonesborough Traffic Advisory Committee Meeting Notice Thursday, October 27, 2022 The Traffic Advisory Committee of the Town of Jonesborough will meet at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2022 in the Board Room at Town Hall, 123 Boone Street in Jonesborough. The following items will be on the agenda: 1. Call to Order 2. Roll Call 3. Approval of the Minutes Old Business 1. Mill Creek Subdivision – Update on options for on-street parking within parts of Mill Creek Subdivision that will not create safety issues for residents and emergency services 2. First Avenue – Revisit request to make First Avenue one-way between College & Main Streets 3. E. Main Street – Revisit request for measures to decrease speeds. Small narrow island at bottom of hill in proximity of First Baptist Church. New Business Note: Traffic Count information was in last month’s packet, please let us know if you want us to print you another copy 1. Forest Drive (Top and Bottom Locations) a. Speed Tables update b. Traffic count locations identified as Top and Bottom c. Traffic calming concepts 2. Rocky Hollow Road (1210 and 1410 Locations) a. Speed Tables update b. Traffic count locations at 2 areas – 1210 and 1410 Rocky Hollow Road c. Traffic calming concepts 3. Shell Road Project Update a. WCHD placed 'leveling' asphalt on 9/22 b. Pavewell curbing crew begins 9/29 or 9/30 c. WCHD will place asphalt 'topping' d. Street forces will place dirt backfill behind curbs, repair yards, etc. e. WCHD will place paint striping f. Street forces will layout and place (3) speed tables that were previously approved 4. Discussion and possible action to change the monthly meeting day and time (currently last Thursday of each month at 1:00 PM).
