City Council Absent: Robert Purdom, Place 4 City Staff Present: Josh Jones, City Manager; and Lisa Dawn Cabrera, City Secretary. A. CALLTOORDERAN D ANNOUNCE A QUORUM PRESENT Mayor Pro-Tem Moore called the meeting to order at 6:02 pm B. IT.IVOCATION No lnvocation was given. C. PLEDGE OFALLEGIANCE The Pledges of Allegiance were not recited D. GENERAL ACTION ITEMS . Set dates for publlc hearings on budget and tax rate. '1 Councilman Kimble made a motion to set the dates for the public hearings for September 19th and September 23'd, seconded by Councilwoman Nichols. Motion passed without objection. 2. Discuss, consider and take action on ordinance No. 765-2019 being an ordinance of the city council of the city of Joshua, Texas, being an ordinance of the city council of the City of Joshua, Texas, ordering a Special Election to be held on Saturday, November 23,2019; providing for the designation of the polling place and manner of holding said election; providing for the designation of the early voting polling place; providing for the designation of the early voting clerk; providing for the posting and publication of notice; providing for the appointment of election officers; providing a severability and conflicts clause; and providing for an immediate effective date.  Ordenanza No.765-20'19 una Ordenanza del ayuntamiento de la Ciudad de Joshua, Texas, que ordena una eleccion especial para el sdbado 23 de Noviembre de 2019; proporcionando la designacion del lugar de votaci6n y la manera de realizar dicha eleccion proporcionando Ia designaci6n del lugar de votacion anticipada; proporcionando la designaci6n del secretario de votaci6n temprana; proporcionando la publicaci6n y publicacion de avisos; proporcionando para el nombramiento de oficiales de eleccion; proporcionando una cl6usula de separabilidad y conflictos; y proporcionando una fecha efectiva inmediata. Councilman Kimble made a motion to approve Ordinance No. 765-2019, seconded by Councilman DePriest. Motion passed unanimously. E.
