CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM PRESENT Director Dees announced a quorum and called the meeting order at 6:30 pm. B. CITIZENS FORUM The Economic Development Corporation - Parks Board invites citizens to speak on any topic. However, unless the item is specifically noted on this agenda, the Economic Development Corporation - Parks Board is required under the Texas Open Meetings Act to limit its response to responding with a statement of specific factual information, reciting the City’s existing policy, or directing the person making the inquiry to visit with City Staff about the issue. No Corporation deliberation is permitted. Each person will have 3 minutes to speak. C. REGULAR AGENDA 1. Discuss, consider, and possible action on the July 8, 2024, meeting minutes. Motion made by Director Walden to approve the meeting minutes as presented. Seconded by Director Funderburk. Review and discuss questions related to the budget report and financial statement for July 2024. City Manager Peacock stated that there is an estimate of 1.5 million in the fund balance. In addition, he stated that the sales tax has flattened a little so we may fall short of the projections. 3. Discuss, consider, and possible action on the approval of the Economic Development Type B 2024- 2025 Budget. City Manager Peacock stated that only the day-to-day operations are in the budget, nothing else is funded since tax projection is low. In addition, he stated that no salary or cost of living increases are in the budget. 4. July 2024 monthly Parks Board update.  Park Manager Steven Gill gave the following update:  New benches installed  Fencing around the basketball court is installed  baseball fields are being worked on  The old playground has been removed  The concrete border has been removed  The proposals should be presented in October and the new equipment will be installed by summer.  Three bids will be presented on paper to the board and then the top will give a presentation in person.  Bin around dumpster at park installed D.
