MINUTES ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE DATE: Tuesday, September 11, 2018 @7:30 AM Kalispell City Hall, 201 1st Ave E MEMBERS PRESENT: Russ Skelton; John Hinchey; David Koel; Julia Pierrottet OTHERS PRESENT: City Staff – PJ Sorensen & Kari Hernandez # Of Guests: 3 Hear the Public: None Approval of Minutes: Russ moved to approve the August 28 minutes; Julia seconded. Approved 4-0 Old Business: Maw Apartments – 25 Appleway; new apartments – at the August 28 meeting the board asked to see a band of color put in between the 1st and 2nd floor as well as windows on the north and south ends of each building. Developer came back to the board with these changes. Julia moved to approve w/ changes as presented; Russ seconded. Approved 4-0. New Business: Signs: First American Title – 219 E Center; freestanding sign; monumental sign with external lighting from the ground. David moved to approve; Russ seconded. Approved 4-0. Building Permits: Meadow Vista – 136 Meadow Vista Loop; duplex building in condominium complex – due to the slope of the ground developer has to do a two story duplex rather than the single story condo which was originally approved. Colors & materials will be exactly the same as all other existing units; Julia moved to approve as presented; David seconded. Approved 4-0. Turley – 749 W Center; adding garage door to front of existing building; all materials have not been turned in at this time and a rep was not present so board agreed to put on hold. Other Discussion: ARC awards – Board went through the 2016/2017 projects and narrows the list to a group of finalists to drive by and review before next meeting. PJ will send out the revised list to the board members. Meeting Adjourned @ 8:18AM
