MINUTES ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE DATE: Tuesday, August 24, 2021 @ 7:30 AM Kalispell City Hall, 201 1st Ave E MEMBERS PRESENT: Julia Pierrottet (Chair); John Hinchey; Sarah Turner; Cara Lemire; Robin Spear, Susanne Wigginton (Zoom) OTHERS PRESENT: City Staff – Rachel Ezell # Of Guests: 2 Hear the Public: None Approval of Minutes: John moved to approve the August 10, 2021, minutes; Cara seconded (approved 6-0). New Business: Signs: None Buildings: Preliminary Comments: Ruiz Grain Elevator Site Ph 1A Building C - 501 W Center St; grain elevator building with restaurant, condos, and apartments – Ned w/ Jackola present as representative. Committee reviewed and discussed new site layout, access in and out of the property, amenities in the building and landscaping options. Committee feels the street level needs to be more pedestrian friendly rather than look like a concrete parking garage, possibly some visual access to what’s inside with more windows. The clipped corners on top of the restaurant look outdated, possibly add some dormers. Old Business: Chick-Fil-A – 35 Treeline Rd; drive through canopy – Mark moved to approve; Sarah seconded (approved 6-0). Other Discussion: ARC Awards Meeting Adjourned @ 8:30 AM
