MINUTES ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW COMMITTEE DATE: Tuesday, September 28, 2021 @ 7:30 AM Kalispell City Hall, 201 1st Ave E MEMBERS PRESENT: Julia Pierrottet (Chair); John Hinchey; Mark Pirrie; Sarah Turner; Robin Spear OTHERS PRESENT: City Staff – Rachel Ezell # Of Guests: 3 Hear the Public: None Approval of Minutes: Mark moved to approve the September 14, 2021, minutes; John seconded (approved 5-0). New Business: Signs: Dominos - 201 18th St E- Revised color on freestanding sign - John moved to approve; Robin seconded (approved 5-0). Conoco - 4810 Hwy 93 S; new freestanding sign - Mark moved to approve either sign option as presented, noting it’s the owner’s choice; Sarah seconded (approved 5-0). Conoco - 50 5th Ave W; sign face replacement - Mark moved to approve; Robin seconded (approved 5-0). H2O Orthodontics - 1256 N Meridian Rd; new freestanding sign - Robin moved to approve; Mark seconded (approved 5-0). Buildings: None. Old Business: Signs: House of Nails- 211 S Main St.; new wall sign over 20 sq ft within Main Street Historic District – Board does not like the backlit sign style, they would prefer to see a more subtle light coming over the top of the sign like neighboring businesses. They prefer the sign be centered on the building as opposed to over the entrance. John moved to table (approved to table 5-0). Buildings: Music One- 310 S Main St; façade remodel within Main Steet Historic District (Noncontributing building) – Three sign options based on comments from previous meeting.
