At the meeting on August 11, it is recommended that Council consider the appointment of the
Interim City Manager, authorizing this individual to operate with the full authority of a City
Manager under Kalispell Municipal Code and Montana State Statute.
In addition to the appointment, it is recommended that the Interim City Manager appointment
include additional compensation to better reflect the increased responsibilities and roles that will
be undertaken during the period of initial appointment, August 12, through the starting date of
the permanent hire, or until further action is taken by the Council.
FISCAL IMPACT: It is recommended that Council approve an additional $3500 per month
