PUBLIC COMMENTS
• In-Person comments during the meeting: Join us for the Subcommittee meeting at the

limited to three (3) minutes.

Citizens who wish to make an audio/visual presentation pertaining to an item on the agenda, or
during Public Comments, should contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 619.667.1300,
no later than 12:00 p.m., the business day prior to the meeting day. Advance notification will
ensure compatibility with City equipment and allow Subcommittee meeting presentations to
progress smoothly and in a consistent and equitable manner. Please note that all
presentations/digital materials are considered part of the maximum time limit provided to speakers.
Agenda reports for items on this agenda are available for public review at the Parks and
Recreation Department, 4975 Memorial Drive, during normal business hours.
Materials related to an item on this agenda submitted to the Subcommittee after distribution of the
agenda packet are available for public inspection at the Parks and Recreation Department, 4975

This meeting was conducted utilizing teleconferencing and electronic means consistent
with Government Code Section 54953, as amended by Assembly Bill 361, in relation to
the COVID-19 State of Emergency and recommended social distancing measures.

6.2 DISCUSSION OF MACARTHUR PARK DRAFT MASTER PLAN AND
PUBLIC INPUT
Director Richardson presented an update on the status of the park master
planning process and community feedback received on the draft plan and
asked for guidance from the subcommittee. Subcommittee recommended
to move forward with statistically valid public needs assessment and begin
the process to update the 2012 Park (and Recreation) Master Plan. Both
stressed the need to continue to plan for the future of the park
redevelopment for the City's growth.
