PRESENTATION 3.1 HARRY GRIFFEN REGIONAL PARK AND CANINE CORNERS UPDATES Misty Thompson, Director of Community Services Misty Thompson, Director of Community Services went over permits, events, and reservable sites during fiscal year 25 at Harry Griffen Park. She also went over requests from park goers (parking, off-leash dogs, shade needed). She then introduced the Secretary of Canine Corners, Janet Freeman. Ms. Freeman provided an update on Canine Corners and the need for weeding and board members. Michelle Metschel from City of 1 Page 4 of 7  El Cajon provided a resource to Canine Corners to assist with the weeding as community service. 4. Moved by Councilmember Suzuki Seconded by Board Member Metschel Approve the minutes Yes (5): Councilmember Suzuki, Board Member Damsky, Board Member Daniels, Board Member La Fata, and Board Member Metschel Motion Approved (5 to 0) 5.2 APPROVAL OF THE FISCAL YEAR 2025-2026 BUDGET Board Member Daniels of the County of San Diego inquired about where, if possible, to decrease the budget in order to not see a large increase. Moved by Councilmember Suzuki Seconded by Board Member Metschel City of La Mesa staff recommends the Governing Board approve the budget for Fiscal Year 2025-2026.
