BOARD OF ASSESSORS MINUTES
October 15, 2020
CITY HALL – CONFERENCE ROOM 200A
5:30 P.M.
CALL TO ORDER: Board member Robin Mooney called the meeting to order at 5:29 pm.
RECORDING SECRETARY: Tara Baker
SALUTE TO THE FLAG
ROLL CALL: Present were, board members Robin Mooney, Karen Mudgett, and alternate
member Jim Rice.
STAFF IN ATTENDANCE: Tara Baker and Stephan Hamilton
ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING(S): With no questions or
concerns, the board accepted the minutes from the July 16, 2020 meeting.
PUBLIC HEARINGS: None
OLD BUSINESS: None
NEW BUSINESS: The board reviewed 3 bills for current land use change tax for the following
properties: Juan A. & Mayra C. De Armas 26-490-15.27, Matthew & Delia G. Canfield 26-490-
15.3 and Akwa Vista LLC 125-478-5.52. The board reviewed comparable property sales that
support the recommendations of Assessor, Emily Goldstein.
NON-PUBLIC:
***R. Mooney made a motion that the Board enter into a non-public session under RSA
91-a:311(b) to discuss matters which, if discussed in public, would likely affect adversely
the reputation of any person unless such person requests an open meeting; however, this
cannot be used to protect a person who is a member of your Board, Committee or
Subcommittee. K. Mudgett second, a roll call vote was taken, R. Mooney – Yes, K.
Mudgett – Yes, J. Rice- Yes, the vote was unanimous, and a non-public session was
entered into at 5:40 p.m.
*** R. Mooney made a motion to return out of non-public session at 5:45 p.m. and J. Rice
seconded. A roll call vote was taken, R. Mooney – Yes, K. Mudgett – Yes, J. Rice- Yes,
the vote was unanimous.

21 Darwins Pl, 272-544-16.7: J. Rice made a motion to deny the request of the property owner.
K. Mudgett second the motion. The motion passed unanimously.
62 Prescott Av., 215-266-3: R. Mooney made a motion to grant the request of the property
owner. J. Rice second the motion. The motion passed
unanimously.
OTHER
Covid-19 Update: S. Hamilton updated the board on current submitted applications for
abatement of interest for those affected by Covid 19.
Abatement slips and Current use warrants were signed.
ADJOURNMENT: R. Mooney made a motion to adjourn, seconded by K. Mudgett. The
meeting was adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
