City of Laconia Planning Board Capital Improvement Sub-Committee Notice of Public Hearing Tuesday, October 10, 2018 - 6:30 PM Conference Room 200A Accepted 10/17/2018 Minutes 10/10/2018 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair P. Brunette called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm. 2. ROLL CALL Recording Secretary Kalena Graham called the roll with the following members present: Jay Forester, Bruce Cheney, Ava Doyle, Mike Foote, Peter Brunette, Mark Haynes, Robert Hamel 3. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Planning Director Dean Trefethen 4. RECORDING SECRETARY Kalena Graham 5. ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES FROM PREVIOUS MEETINGS Chair P. Brunette accepted the minutes with no objections 6. PRESENTATIONS OF DEPTS Water Dept: Superintendent Seth Nuttelman gave the presentation of the budget proposal. He explained the Water Dept's general monetary process and went in depth on a few of the proposals, like projects 1, 2, and 3. Police Dept: Captain Al Graton and Chief Mat Canfield were present. A. Graton gave the presentation. The committee had questions regarding cars and how long they normally are kept. The new cars are used less than the older ones to keep the mileage down. Miles per year are averaged at 25,000 and the front line cars usually run 4-5 years. Dept of Public Works: Director Wesley Anderson went over the powerpoint presentation. 7. OTHER BUSINESS Planning Director D. Trefethen reminded the committee that the next meeting will be Tuesday, Oct 16. The presentation will be the Fire Dept and Parks Dept. 8. ADJOURNMENT Motion to adjourn made by C. St. Clair, M. Foote seconded. All voted in favor. Chair P. Brunette adjourned the meeting at 9:01 pm. Respectfully, K. Graham
