CITY OF LACONIA - CITY COUNCIL MEETING January 9, 2020 7:00 P.M. 1/9/2020 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Hosmer called the meeting to order at the above date and time. 2. RECORDING SECRETARY Cheryl Hebert, City Clerk 3. ROLL CALL City Clerk Hebert noted for the record that all six Councilors were in attendance and a quorum was established. 4. NOMINATIONS, APPOINTMENTS & ELECTIONS 4.A. Election of Mayor Pro Tem Councilor Hamel moved to elect Councilor Haynes as Mayor Pro Tem, seconded by Councilor Bownes; the motion passed with all in favor. 5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS 5.A. Letter of Agreement between the Firefighter's Union and the City of Laconia Councilor Cheney moved to remove this item from the table, seconded by Councilor Haynes; the motion passed with all in favor. Councilor Lipman moved to approve the attached Letter of Agreement pertaining to the starting pay for experienced firefighters between the City of Laconia and the Laconia Professional Firefighters Association, seconded by Councilor Felch; the motion passed with all in favor. 6. ADJOURNMENT With no further business to come before the Council and hearing no objection, Mayor Hosmer adjourned the meeting at 8:11 pm.
