Minutes approved September 26, 2022 City of Laconia - City Council Site Visit 3:00 PM 8/30/2022 - Minutes 1. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Hosmer called the meeting to order at 3:02 pm. 2. ROLL CALL City Manager Scott Myers called the roll of the City Council: Councilor Cheney, Councilor Haynes, Councilor Hamel, and Councilor Felch were in attendance along with Mayor Hosmer. A quorum was established at 27 Bisson Ave. 3. STAFF IN ATTENDANCE Scott Myers, City Manager; Wes Anderson, Public Works Director 4. PUBLIC HEARING Mayor Hosmer recessed the meeting and announced they were traveling by van to Centenary Ave. at Janes Ave. for the purpose of viewing Janes Ave., Thompson Ave., Allan Ave. and Kingsley Ave. After arriving at Janes Ave., Mayor Hosmer reconvened the meeting. Several residents were in attendance and asked general questions. The Mayor/Councilors viewed Janes, Thompson, Allan & Kingsley for the purpose of accepting them as “as-is streets”. Mayor Hosmer recessed the meeting and announced they were traveling to Lucerne Ave. at the Weirs Community Center Parking Lot exit. After arriving at Lucerne, Mayor Hosmer reconvened the meeting. The Mayor/Councilors viewed Lucerne for the purpose of accepting it as an “as-is street”. Mayor Hosmer recessed the meeting and announced they were traveling to Hillcrest Dr. and stopping at #343 Hillcrest. After arriving at Hillcrest, Mayor Hosmer reconvened the meeting. The Mayor/Councilors viewed Hillcrest for the purpose of accepting it as an “as-is street”. Mayor Hosmer recessed the meeting and announced they were traveling to Bayside Ct. After arriving at Bayside, Mayor Hosmer reconvened the meeting. The Mayor/Councilors viewed Bayside for the purpose of accepting it as an “as-is street”. Mayor Hosmer recessed the meeting and announced they were traveling to Eastman Shore Rd. South. After arriving at Eastman Shore Rd. South, Mayor Hosmer reconvened the meeting. The Mayor/Councilors viewed Eastman Shore Rd. South for the purpose of releasing and discharging from all public servitude the unimproved portion of Eastman Shore Rd. South. 1 Minutes approved September 26, 2022 Mayor Hosmer opened a Public Hearing on this matter at 4:20 pm. Seeing no one wishing to speak, Mayor Hosmer recessed the Public Hearing to the City Council meeting of September 12, 2022. **The City Council was running ahead of schedule on their viewing tour and some members of the public did not arrive in time to be heard. Since the Public Hearing was recessed, those residents wishing to comment or submit written testimony still have ample opportunity to do so. 5.
